Submitting to Mopshots
MopShots is the online lookbook for hairstyle inspiration and local salon/stylist recommendations. We’re always on the prowl looking for the hottest, latest and greatest in hair, and we need you — our style savvy friends — to help us find the best cuts on the street.

Making the Cut:
The hairstyles that appear on our site are picked by a team of fashion bloggers and tastemakers — MopShots “Dictators” as we ever so lovingly call them — who look  for quality cuts, color and style with a wow factor. Their ideal Mopshots model has plenty of character, a great fashion sense, and inspires you to stop her on the street and ask, “Where’d you get your hair done?”

Taking the Photos:
Here are some insider tips and tricks to submitting your own photos to Mopshots:

• We like to keep it real: think street style, not Glamour Shots.
• Say “cheese!” and have fun with it: a nice smile always compliments that stunning ‘do.
• Each submission must have 4 pictures of the haircut: a front, back, left side and right side shot for that (almost) 360° view.
• Keep in mind that we’ll crop each shot: especially for long hair, make sure the entire cut fits into a square frame.
• Don’t hinder maximum hair gloriousness: remove any heavy coats or scarves that may get in the way.
• Make that hair pop: contrast between the haircut and shoulders / clothing is good.
• Find a sweet background: brick walls or graffiti can make things interesting.

Sending in the photos:
You can find our lovely submission form at http://mopshots.com/submit.

• Submissions must be at least 245 pixels wide and tall.
• We want to see every little wispy layer and tonal highlight: high quality images are a plus.
• Don’t forget to ask for these vital stats: the name of your Mopshots model, her salon and the city it’s in. We’ll be needing those.
• Fill out the form with your images attached, and if our Dictators select your shots, we’ll notify you via an email filled with mirth and joy. Hooray!
