Great color! Perfectly auburn with enough red to give it a kick. She’s rocking the Cat Power/Chan Marshall/Feist look well. For one thing, her hair is thick enough to pull it off--especially since shearing so many locks in the name of bangs can take a chunk out of a fine-haired girl's ponytail fund, leaving limp, wispy strands behind to cover the rest of the noggin. It also suits the shape of her face, which is a necessity so that straight-across-the-forehead bangs don’t look too severe. A little trivia: Methinks there’s a reason this has been the coif de choice for so many (slightly) aging indie rockers: the bangs cover a multitude of sins. Anyway, she looks pretty badass. As long as all the ends are trimmed and relatively neat, I think she’s found her ideal style and shade.

Feist maybe. I’m getting more of an Emily Blunt sensation from Romy H. And I’m not talking about her bangs. But hey, have you rented “Wind Chill?” Ms. Blunt is in it and George Clooney produced it, but you’d never know because it’s actually not very good. Forget I mentioned it. Gosh. It’s either her hair or her face, she’s so Emily Blunt.
Also, ohmygosh I’m very interested to know if this look involves extensions. Also (part 2), I need to know if the photos were taken at a summer home in the Hamptons. This would be a good cross promotion for MopShots.com and my site-in-development, ChicOverload.com. Tell someone.

Hey guys! I took the photo. No extensions believe it or not! I think Romy has been honing her unique style for quite a while.
Matt, the location is not in the Hamptons although I am sure I would be able to shoot in the location again. Its a beautifully lit lil apartment on the upper east side.
