This is just straight up rock & roll a la Sally Hershberger, Joan Jett, Shane from the L Word and 1981 Matt Dillon in "Over the Edge." This punk shag is truly classic, has always been dangerous and will always be an androgynous staple of hipness. Technically speaking, it's a tricky cut. There is a fine line between short layers and a mullet. Those who can execute this style deserve an encore.
