This long, straight style frames her face perfectly, while the layers in the back and ends give the cut volume. Although this cut works with all hair colors, avoid highlights at all costs to keep the look current. The only styling necessary really necessary is a quick upside-down blow-dry for extra volume. Even a simple ponytail looks put-together at this length.

These layers are feathery and seamless. They flatter the face and will grow out well without leaving a case of the “gaps.” I can see this working with straightening irons, curling irons, hot rollers, sponge rollers and a simple blow dryer and paddle brush. This cut is truly limitless in its versatility. Throw in a couple highlights along the crown and face, and you have a low maintenance hairstyle that can take you from work to a weekend at the beach.

I’d kill someone to be able to pull off this style. Sure, it looks simple, but blowing long hair straight with minimal layers like this is so much harder than it looks. Sure, it’s extremely Jennifer Aniston circa “Office Space,” but it could be updated with blonde highlights. This is still one of my all-time favorite cuts!
